Operations Intern
Support GFC's day-to-day nonprofit operations by keeping information organized, assisting with documentation and recurring workflows, tracking follow-ups, and helping improve practical internal processes.

Overview
Giving Foundation for Children Inc. (GFC) is a child-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit working across books and literacy, nonprofit partnerships, awareness, research, campaigns, and community support.
The Operations Intern helps Team GFC keep internal work organized and usable. Projects may involve maintaining project information, improving documentation, supporting recurring processes, preparing status updates, or helping a defined workflow run more consistently.
This role is a good fit for a student who enjoys organization, detail, practical problem-solving, and making team processes clearer.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate project, action-item, deadline, and follow-up information.
- Organize meeting notes, decisions, operating references, and internal documentation.
- Support recurring workflows, checklists, trackers, and other practical operating tools.
- Prepare concise status summaries, research notes, or materials for review.
- Identify missing information, inconsistencies, blockers, or items requiring follow-up.
- Support clearly scoped coordination tasks under Team GFC direction.

Improving a tracker for an active GFC Initiative.
Reviewing an internal checklist or procedure and suggesting practical improvements.
Turning approved meeting decisions into organized action items and follow-up.
Preparing a concise operational status brief for Team GFC review.
Who this is for

- Ability to work independently on clearly scoped Projects while collaborating with a remote team.
Prior nonprofit experience is helpful but not required.

Commitment
- Remote, part-time internship-style volunteer opportunity.
- Unpaid unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Work is organized primarily through clearly scoped GFC Projects and asynchronous collaboration.
- Exact dates, expected weekly commitment, schedule, and school-specific requirements are governed by the active posting, offer, and approved Fellow record.
- Academic credit, CPT/OPT treatment, or other university/immigration requirements are determined by the applicable school or authority and are not guaranteed by GFC.
