Fellow Opportunity

Nonprofit & Community Partnerships Fellow

Supports research, outreach, relationship tracking, and approved coordination with nonprofit and community organizations.

The opportunity

GFC's Nonprofit & Community Partnerships Program develops thoughtful relationships that may support its child-focused mission. This Fellow may help research and communicate with nonprofits, schools, libraries, and other community organizations without assuming a relationship or commitment exists.

What you'll work on

  • Research nonprofits, schools, libraries, and community organizations aligned with GFC priorities
  • Draft and support approved outreach to prospective or current contacts
  • Maintain accurate relationship, outreach, follow-up, and status records
  • Help coordinate approved external communication and next steps with GFC guidance

Example projects

Depending on current GFC priorities, examples could include:

  • Researching organizations relevant to a Books & Literacy or Community Outreach Initiative
  • Preparing approved outreach drafts and source notes for GFC review
  • Organizing relationship status and follow-up records for approved outreach

What we're looking for

A dependable, relatively independent contributor with professional written communication, sound judgment, organized follow-through, and respect for approval boundaries when representing GFC externally. These qualities matter more than a specific credential.

What you'll learn

You'll have opportunities to gain experience with nonprofit partner research, professional outreach, relationship tracking, follow-up, and approved external coordination.
