Fellow Opportunity

Marketing & Communications Fellow

Supports GFC communications, outreach, content coordination, and mission-aligned storytelling.

The opportunity

Giving Foundation for Children Inc. is a child-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose long-term Programs include Books & Literacy, Special Needs Awareness, Community Outreach, Nonprofit & Community Partnerships, and Volunteer & Fellowship Engagement. A Marketing & Communications Fellow may help explain this work clearly and consistently to different audiences.

What you'll work on

  • Draft website, Campaign, social, email, and outreach messaging
  • Support communications planning and adapt messages for specific audiences and channels
  • Organize source material and references so public copy remains accurate and supportable
  • Help maintain a consistent, warm, child-focused GFC voice
  • Revise public-facing work in response to GFC review before publication

Example projects

Depending on current GFC priorities, examples could include:

  • Drafting website or Campaign messaging from approved source material
  • Preparing a communications plan and channel-specific drafts for an Initiative
  • Organizing reusable messaging, references, and review notes for future outreach

What we're looking for

A dependable, relatively independent contributor with strong writing, sound judgment, careful source use, and reliable follow-through. The ability to accept editorial review, learn GFC's voice, and adapt a message for different audiences matters more than a specific degree.

What you'll learn

You'll have opportunities to gain experience with nonprofit communications planning, audience-specific writing, source organization, editorial review, and consistent messaging across Programs, Initiatives, and Campaigns.
